Tara Thornton worked at MARC, Inc. in a professional capacity as our Human
Resource Director from August 4, 2008 until September 15, 2010.
Ms. Thornton was an excellent employee and would be welcomed back to MARC at
any time. In her position as H.R. Director she developed many new policies,
procedures and practices that reduced turnover and assisted in increasing the
quality of employee we were able to recruit. She administrated the benefit
package for all employees and worked directly with vendors to ensure that MARC
received the best package possible.
As the H.R. Director, she was also responsible for the safety program within the
facility. She developed a very strong program which led to a significant decrease in
workman’s compensation claims. She also worked to increase employee morale
during her time at MARC. She accomplished this through the development of an
employee appreciation program that all employees had an opportunity to
participate in. She empowered the employees which gave them a sense of
ownership and responsibility that enhanced their employment experience.
Ms. Thornton was a real asset to MARC and I strongly recommend her for any like
position and believe that she would be an asset anywhere as her capacity to learn
and her spirit of initiative are very strong.
